Type Locality and Naming

Along the village of Makrid, southeastern part of the Kara-Tyube Mountains. V.S. Korsakov et al., 1993 (460, p.88). Previously, the deposits of A.A. were included in the composition of the Pyazyn Fm of the Zirabulak-Ziaetdin Mountains.

Synonym: Makrid Suite, Макридская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Dolomites, dolomitic limestones, interlayers of limestones. Thickness 650-700m.

Lower contact

Age 

Ludlow age is substantiated by paleontological data (Korsakov et al., 1984). On the State Geolmap-500 of Uzbekistan (460), it is attributed to the Ludlow of the Silurian.
